TUMI’s original Recycled Collection launched in 2018 and marked the first time when recycled materials met the brand’s rigorous testing standards. This season’s capsule builds on that success using 70 percent recycled content with zero compromises on quality. The new collection delivers popular styles from the Alpha Bravo collection made with post-industrial and post-consumer waste materials that would otherwise end up in landfills.
Exteriors are made with recycled nylon, while the interior and exterior details are constructed from recycled plastic bottles. TUMI is constantly pushing forward with their exploration of recycled materials to create bags that delivered on Tumi’s signature quality and premium performance.”
The new Recycled Capsule collection includes the London Roll Top Backpack, which has ample space to hold all your outfits and essentials for a weekend trip and boasts an easy-access top zip closure, comfortable padded straps and a waterproof lined U-Zip front pocket; the Nellis Backpack – a travel essential made with recycled plastic bottles – with its tall main compartment, dedicated laptop and tablet space and a separate section for papers; and the Sheppard Deluxe Brief Pack, which features a bevy of interior and exterior organizational pockets as well as dedicated space for a laptop, iPad and other everyday items. There’s also the Kelley Sling, a casual stylish sling that’s perfect for everyday use and as a smaller day bag on your travels.
TUMI has also joined 1% for the Planet, committing to donate 1% of the Recycled Capsule Collection annual sales to support Waves for Water, a nonprofit organization aiming to provide access to clean water to every single person who needs it using water filtration systems, bore-hole wells, and rainwater harvesting systems.
