New Premier League – Unpredictable Journey!

The 2020–21 Premier League is the 29th season of the the top English professional league for association football clubs since its establishment in 1992. Twenty days on from the Champions League final, seven weeks on from the end of the last league season, welcome back, roll up and take a bio secured seat for the autumn-to-summer grind of football in the time of plague. For English football this really is a journey without maps, an attempt to return to some modified version of reality at a time when the limits of the possible seem to shift every few days. It is also the right moment to ask how this is going to feel. Nobody knows right now to what degree the public will be allowed to return to the spectacle.

The British Fashion Council (BFC) is delighted to announce the provisional schedule for London Fashion Week (LFW) September 2020. The gender neutral showcase will run from Thursday 17th to Tuesday 22nd September 2020 and include both digital activations and physical events, adhering to Government guidelines on social distancing. The schedule will host over 80 designers including 40 womenswear, 15 menswear, 20 menswear & womenswear and 5 accessories brands. Cannes Classics 2020

For the 17th consecutive year, here is the program of the classic cinema section of the Cannes Festival. Restored prints, celebrations and documentaries will be programmed.
Since the beginning of the 2000s, when we were still unaware that the relation of contemporary cinema to its own memory would be shaken up by the emerging appearance of digital technology, the Festival  de Cannes created Cannes Classics, a selection allowing to display the work of valorization of heritage cinema carried out by production companies, right-owners, cinematheques or national archives from around the world.

BFC FOUNDATION FASHION FUND FOR THE COVID CRISIS REOPENS APPLICATIONS

British Fashion Council (BFC) is delighted to announce that following the initial £1,000,000 made available for the BFC Foundation Fashion Fund, the organisation raised an additional £500,000, allowing applications to reopen for a second round. The BFC Foundation Fashion Fund was established in March, to support creative fashion businesses and individuals to survive the Covid-19 crisis. In May 2020, the BFC gave financial support and mentoring to 37 British designer businesses, with grants taken from the £1,000,000 emergency fund allocated to viable businesses depending on their urgency and capability to come through and thrive post crisis. A portion of funds was allocated to students, underpinning the future generation of creative talent. Read more
