From 13 – 17 June, the capital’s ultimate culinary celebration, Taste of London, will bring a  fresh line-up of the world’s best chefs, the greatest and most exciting restaurants, unique experiences and the best gourmet producers to Regent’s Park. Mayfair Art Weekend

Mayfair Art Weekend 29 June – 1 July 2018, will once again be joined by the Royal Academy of Arts, Mayfair and St. James’s art galleries, artists and auction houses to celebrate the area as a vibrant hub of creativity, craftsmanship and production.

The weekend provides an insight into this unique art district and a chance to experience the unparalleled artistic knowledge, quality and diversity to be found within Mayfair’s and St. James’s art community.

Inaugural London Oyster Week to challenge preconceptions and promote sustainability

London Oyster Week takes place 21 to 29 April 2018.

The first city-wide celebration of oysters will take place in London from Saturday 21 to Sunday 29 April 2018.

London Oyster Week will see venues across the capital joining together to demystify oysters and raise awareness of the benefits of eating them, as well as raise funds for oyster education and restoration. Read more

Saatchi Gallery opens a major new exhibition featuring the work of 17 contemporary artists

Known Unknowns showcases an international selection of artists, born between 1966 and 1990, from the Saatchi Gallery’s collection. The title refers to the artists’ status in the mainstream art world – whilst the group is largely unknown, their respective practices are greatly admired by their artistic peers and seen as breaking new ground.

The exhibition features a diverse range of art forms including painting, sculpture, video and mixed media, with a particular focus on the craft of art-making. The works deal with a myriad of themes that relate to the visual conditions of contemporary life, such as the exponential flow of images, the representation of the body in the Internet age, and the ethics of viewing versus voyeurism. The Roux Scholarship

There was once a time when British chefs were considered inferior and incapable of ever comprehending true gastronomy. You’d think this was way back in the mists of time but you’d be wrong. Just a little over thirty years ago, Andrew Fairlie, the first winner of the Roux Scholarship, wrote to a number of senior French chefs asking for a job at their restaurants in France. Only one replied. The answer: ‘non merci.’ Read more

Rochelle is the new face of New Look

 

 

Rochelle Humes the former Saturdays star took centre stage as her New Look launch party kicked off in London and of course she was modelling one of her favourite pieces from the high street store for the launch party she was joined by husband Martin as they made their way into the event at St Martin’s Lane Hotel.

The stunning red jacquard embroidered mirror playsuit has really got us dreaming of summer. Extremely happy with her news, Rochelle, wrote: “Look Mum. BEYOND excited to announce that I am now the face of New Look. If you’d have told this to my teenage self I would have never believed you.
